Court Interpreters may interrupt to request that people speak more clearly, loudly or to request a repetition or the spelling of a name. 
Once your hearing is over, turn off your camera and microphone. Remember that only you, attorneys, or anyone that the Judge requests, will be allowed to speak to the Judge. Use appropriate language, just as you would in a physical courtroom. Do not interrupt others or attempt to speak over them. Address the Judge as “Your Honor” or “Judge”. Do not drive a vehicle while participating in Court. Remain seated or standing still while participating in Court. Do not smoke, eat or drink while you are participating in Court. Do not turn them back on until your case is called. After checking in with the Clerk, turn off your microphone and camera. The Courtroom Clerk will admit you when ready. Log on 15 minutes early for your Court hearing. Try not to sit directly in front of a window because the light or reflection can affect the video. No playful virtual backgrounds are allowed. Be aware of your Zoom background and the area behind you. Cell phones should be muted doors to rooms closed and disruptions should be minimized. Dress appropriately you may wear your work uniform or clothing if you are joining court on a work break. Behave as you would in a physical courtroom. If you request an online hearing, an invitation will be forwarded to you via email or text message about 24 hours before the scheduled hearing. Online Criminal Arraignments are held at 2:00 pm. Online Traffic Arraignments are held at 1:00 pm. You must indicate that you want an online hearing. If you would like to hold your hearing online, request a new court date using the form below. Department Four - Judge Christopher Hazlett-StevensĬourt hearings, with the exceptions of trials, may be conducted online using the Zoom platform. Department Three - Judge Justin Champagne. Please note that if a video is not listed, no hearings are streaming live. Recording or downloading any of the court's YouTube live sessions is not permitted.
